Ras Malekot x King Ital Rebel - Hold Fast

Our latest single features Ras Malekot, a beloved local figure from Kingston. A devout Rastafarian, he is a poet, writer, craft maker, and recording artist. At the base of the Blue Mountains, he runs a small shop where he sells vintage records, knitted hats, souvenirs, and root tonics—a traditional wellness drink made from herbs and roots, sweetened with honey or molasses.

The track was recorded at the legendary Tuff Gong studio, with instrumentation provided by our friends from Portugal, the Rubera Roots Band. Mixing and mastering were handled in Belgium by Marc Leys, a highly regarded engineer known for his expertise in crafting exceptional soundscapes.
