Karli Owli started writing songs around the age of 13, and at 14, with faith and hopes his conscience and visions was already clear, that in the near future, he and his music will be known in the four corners of the world.

In 1999, Karli Owli began to share his talent among his peers musically and performing live with other local sound systems in and around the district where he grew up, better know today as Long Road. Then later, around other Parishes in Jamaica.

In 2002, Karli Owli visited London, and In 2003, he was introduced to Ned Bingham (lyricist who's writing for DB Boulevard Jean-Jacques Smoothie and Timo Maas). “Within the same week, I got a call from Ned, with arrangements, for a recording session at the Ocean Bloem Productions studio where the recording vocals was successfully completed,” said Karli Owli. Steadily, he continues, “I consider it a highlight in my career that my first two recorded songs “Uptown Girls” and “Do You Want More,” had made it on a artist album “Do You Want More”. The album was a success and has given me the spotlight among the likes of many other famous musicians who have been around the mainstream for quite some time.”

In 2009, Karli Owli released his first CD EP “Let Love Overflow”. He states, “I consider it the most important turning point in my career since I had ventured into another genre, back in 2003. The mission and the journey which I'm on, is to deliver the “Messages of Freedom” period with clean lyrics of love, peace and encouragement, with melodious beats for the healing your musical souls. While I keep focused, without the distraction by what's popular, I sing what I can feel, moreover, I will continually expressing myself positively and freely. That's the reason, in March, I officially created my own label, Karli Owli Music. The label also gave Karli Owli the tool to highlight his producing, prolific song writing and vocal abilities. Karli Owli Music means “Always Think Happy Thoughts”. The CD EP “Let Love Overflow” does a great job at showing the world what he and his music are all about.”

With a fast and ever-growing fan base, Karli Owli has worked with several other local and international producers to deliver hard hitting conscious lyrics mainly on the European music scene.

Between August, 2009 and November, 2010, Karli Owli has already shared the stage in live performances with Jamelody, Marlon Asher, Natural Black, Yah Meek and many more talented reggae acts. Also, he has already performed live in the Unikeller, Tanzhaus West, Luxor, Klub Marrakech and several other clubs and festivals around Europe, which exposed his music to a diverse audience. To date, Karli Owli is actively working on his second EP, with plans for release in early 2012. Well, for those who haven't heard about Karli Owli as yet, his lyrics are superb refreshing and a energetic and high quality music to hear, especially, for a young talent with something to say.
